Olive groves

Our olive groves occupy an area of 2500 hectares and they have been expanding slowly with new plantations that, year after year, come into production and increase the quantity of available olive oil for consumption and for export. Irrigation and fertilisation are carried out via a drip system, although we have part of the plantation as non-irrigated land. Moreover, we use state-of-the-art agricultural management techniques such as frequent vine leaf and soil analyses, fertigation, pest prevention, soil humidity and fertility control, etc. Organic cultivation is also gaining a lot of importance, as with this type of cultivation one obtains products of higher quality which are less harmful to the environment and to our health.

The irrigation and fertilization system is through a drip, although we have some dry planting. Also, we use agronomic management techniques as the analysis of soil and tree leaves frequent fertigation, pest prevention, control moisture and soil fertility,etc.. Also, organic farming is gaining great importance, since this type of crop produce products of higher quality and less environmentally harmful environment and our health. This year we have produced 15,000 liters of organic extra virgin olive oil and the forecast for within two years is to have about 65,000 liters.

Climate and soils

Typically Mediterranean soils, white, calcareous and loamy clays, united by a characteristic microclimate, with rigorous winters and hot summers provide the olive groves with the ideal conditions for their cultivation. All these factors produce an oil with a well-defined defined and unique profile which, along with advanced production techniques, allow us to obtain an oil of the highest quality.
